Paper Bottles

Made from 94% recycled cardboard, our Paper Bottles are five times lighter and have a carbon footprint six times lower than glass bottles, using less energy to produce and transport and dispose of than glass equivalents.

Paper bottles offer a disruptive and revolutionary alternative to glass, weighing just 710g (filled) they have a food grade recyclable pouch inside.

No glass by the pool.

Mother of Pearl is the first Australian brand to launch our vodka and gin in the Frugalpac bottle, the world’s first and only commercially available paper bottle for wines and spirits.

Our collaboration with Frugalpac offers opportunities in innovation for brand owners and consumers to meet ESG targets for recyclability and reductions in carbon emissions.

We adopted the sustainable packaging to reflect our respect for Australia’s pristine environment, oceans and marine life which reinforces our recycling and reuse philosophy.

How to recycle your paper bottle.

Mother of Pearl is the first spirits brand to have bottles produced with Frugalpac’s innovative, more sustainable, and recyclable mono-material pouch. Replacing the MET PET pouch with a mono material polyethylene pouch, will significantly increase recycling rates, thanks to the more advanced recycling systems for mono materials worldwide.

What excites us about working with Frugalpac is their commitment to recycling. This mono polyethylene-based solution will replace the current MET PET pouch and is set to launch in April 2025. The advancements in mono-material pouch technology make it much easier to recycle—and we’re proud to be a part of that! ♻️
